Systematic Searching In-Person

Take your research skills to the next level with searching techniques for systematic and scoping reviews, where you'll discover how to select the most appropriate databases for your research question and master the essential components that make a literature search exhaustive and reproducible. You'll gain hands-on experience through a live demonstration of Ovid MEDLINE and dedicated working session where you can develop your own search strategy with personalized guidance and support from two experienced librarians.  

Whether you're just starting your research journey or looking to expand your methodological toolkit, this workshop welcomes learners at every level and discipline. Our supportive environment is perfect for students and faculty alike who are curious about systematic and scoping reviews.

This hands-on workshop includes a mix of instruction and hands-on practice for you to work on your search with Librarian support. To get the most out of the hand-on component, it is recommended to come prepared with a research question and 3-5 relevant articles that you would expect to be included in your final review. Attached is the work plan, you are welcome to fill it out to help guide your
