Books+ Club In-Person

Looking for a fun way to meet other students and talk about great stories? Join us for Books+ Club at the Education Library on west campus!

Books+ is a flexible book club open to all Queen's students. Instead of focusing on just one format, Books+ invites you to experience the story in the way that works best for you.

Our featured story is The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. You can read the novel, watch the film or tv series, or explore the graphic novel adaptation - any version counts! At the event, we'll talk about the story, its characters, and how it changes across formats.

About the Story

Percy Jackson has always had trouble fitting in, but everything changes when he learns he’s the son of a Greek god. Sent to Camp Half-Blood, a training ground for demigods, Percy is given a dangerous quest: find Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt and prevent a war among the gods. Along the way he encounters monsters, ancient myths, and the truth about who he really is.

You can join the discussion by engaging with any version of the story, including:
